There are many opportunities for service at Georgetown – ranging from serving in the nursery and Children’s Worship to church leadership on various committees or the church council. Each opportunity has its own set of requirements. If you are interested in serving in any of these areas, please speak to one of the staff or contact the office. We can put you in contact with the correct person.

Children’s Worship

(For children ages 4 years through 5th grade)
Children’s Worship takes place during our Sunday Morning Worship service. Competent and loving teachers present practical, Biblical truths at a level the children can understand.  A capable helper team supports the teacher and insures that each child is welcomed and included during the program. We are committed to providing a Christ-centered, safe, loving environment for children, where parents feel comfortable leaving their children while they worship in the adult morning service.

Global Outreach Team

Missions is a priority at Georgetown Bible Church.  There is a functioning missions committee of twelve that meets monthly to handle education and communication regarding our missionaries.  We currently support thirteen missionaries and five organizations.  The committee also maintains the Hovingh Missionary Guest Home on 40th Avenue which is available to missionaries for use while they are on furlough.  Our desire is to educate our church family with regards to the Acts 1:8 command of Jesus to go into all the world and preach the Gospel.  We continue to offer short term trips in order to expose people to what God is doing across the street and around the world.  Teams have traveled to Alaska, Angola, Belize, Brazil, Guatemala, India, Mexico and South Africa.  Individual families have been called out of our congregation in full time service to a variety of areas such as China, Costa Rica, Canada, and even West Virginia.
