“Our Church Family Praying For Our Church Family”
John 17:9 – “I pray for them. I am not praying for the world, but for those you have given me, for they are yours.”
John 17:15 – “My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one.”
Romans 8:26 – “In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express.”
Our church family is under attack by Satan. We know that Christians have been attacked for a very long time but when it comes into our church, we really pay attention. Satan seems to be oblivious to the fact that Christ has already won the victory, or he just wants us to fail in our witness as we stand up for our Lord, Ruler of our lives. Our church family NEEDS our prayers.
I want you to think about the possibilities of praying as a family. Men, step up and lead your families in praying for our church. Teach your children how to pray. Right now, we have about 15 women who have COMMITTED to praying for every one of you. So at least 15 times a month, you personally are having your name lifted before the Lord, this includes your children. If you have a mail box, we pray for you, for every man, woman and child (children). Think of the possibilities if we had 20, 30, 50, 100 families/individuals that would COMMIT to praying for our church family every month. You may not know every person in this church, BUT you can pray because they are known by God.
Please consider joining Georgetown Bible Church in our “War Room”, in our fight against the evil powers of this world. Older people who are home bound …. Join us! Young people …. Join us! Fathers/Mothers …. Join us!
Once a month GBC Prayer Hedge meets here at the church. Even if you can't join us the last Thursday of the month at 10 AM you can still pray. We would love to have you come and sit or walk and pray. You do not have to be mobile to pray. Join GBC Prayer Hedge in your own “War Room” against the evils that attack our friends, families and especially our pastors.
I would love to get a message from all of you, saying “Please send me a list of the names of our church family, so we can pray.”
Hebrews 4:16 – “Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.”
