Wherever you are on your spiritual journey, there is always room for growth. There are so many ways to grow at Georgetown – for every age and every walk of life.
Georgetown Bible Church is committed to the family. We have a number of programs aimed at strengthening and equipping families in our church and the surrounding community.
Music is a big part of who we are. We make it a priority to have something for everyone. You will find that our services are a mixture of styles – from classic hymns to contemporary Christian music, from traditional organ and piano to the guitars and drums of the praise band. From young to old. If you have musical talent, there is somewhere for you to get involved.
Georgetown reaches out to the community in different ways throughout the year. In the past we have put on community carnivals, grandparenting and parenting conferences, and screenings of Christian movies, among other things. Each summer we go out into the community and put on 5Day Clubs in place of Daily Vacation Bible School.
Missions are a priority at Georgetown Bible Church. We currently support thirteen missionaries and five organizations. We also maintain the Hovingh Missionary Guest Home which is available to missionaries for use while they are on furlough. Our desire is to educate our church family with regards to the Acts 1:8 command of Jesus to go into all the world and preach the Gospel. We offer short term trips in order to expose people to what God is doing across the street and around the world. Teams have traveled to Alaska, Angola, Belize, Brazil, Guatemala, India, Mexico and South Africa. Individual families have been called out of our congregation in full time service to a variety of areas such as China, Costa Rica, Canada, and even West Virginia.
We have programs available to help those within our congregation who need assistance in various areas.
There are many opportunities for service and leadership at Georgetown – ranging from serving in the nursery and Children’s Worship to church leadership on various committees or the church council. Each opportunity has its own set of requirements.
