If you have questions about any of these ministries, please contact the office.

Stephen Ministry

is a place where hurting people can come to find compassion and encouragement. Trained Stephen Ministers show Christ’s love by coming alongside someone going through a difficult situation or loss. Through attentive, confidential listening, these ministers develop relationships of trust with their care receivers. Stephen Ministers do not fix people or their problems; instead, they give care and point the way to Christ, the cure-giver.

Beyond Mentoring

is a marriage enrichment ministry that focuses on improving marriages by mentoring individuals. Participating wives are assigned to work one on one, with women who have received extensive training in marriage and family counseling. Husbands are assigned to similarly qualified men. This novel program is available to those who regularly attend Georgetown Bible Church. Please call the church office to schedule an appointment.

Marriage Retreats

A completely cost free weekend to refresh, renew or repair marriages – available for newlyweds, second marriages, even those married 50 years. These retreats are available to a limited number of couples, each year, by invitation only. If you have a desire to be invited to one, contact Pastor Garry.

Marriage Counseling

Food Pantry

Our food pantry is available to those within the church who are struggling financially. Use of the food pantry is completely confidential. Each use requires permission from one of the pastoral staff. The food pantry is supplied by donations from the congregation. Donations can be made in the hallway near the library.

Meals Ministry

We have a team of volunteers who provide meals for families who have a new baby, a family member in the hospital, or other short-term need.

Mission Closet

The Mission Closet is located upstairs in the south building.  It’s a very special place for our missionaries because it’s stocked with new items which vary from linens to small appliances and tools for their use. When in town, our missionaries are encouraged to go “shopping” in the closet for things that they need or can use when they go back to the field.

Oil Change Ministry

We have a team of volunteers who perform oil changes and vehicle inspections twice a year to help widows and others in need.
